A service can contain multiple layers, where data and files are stored. To view services, open the layer pane by clicking 'Layers'

Services are displayed in a list format, with layers being sub-brackets beneath them.

Add an Existing Service

There are two methods to add an existing service to the map.

1. Click the Tree Icon on the Layers pane toolbar.

Next, click 'Select a Service'

Select existing service to add, and click Select to finish

2. Use the 'Add a Service' bar to quickly load a service onto the layout

Type in desired service and click to load

*Can't find desired service? You may not have access to view it. Contact administrator for access

Create a New Service

Create a new service by again, clicking the Tree Icon.

Next, type in desired service name in "New Service Name"

Click 'Select' to finish.

Remove a Service from Layout

There are two methods to remove a service.

1. Select service to be removed on the Layers pane. Click the Minus icon on layer pane toolbar.

Service will then be removed from map.

2. Right click on desired service to be removed on layer pane. Click 'Remove Service'

* Removing service will not permanently delete service. Few users have the ability to permanently delete services for obvious reasons.

Service Detail

The Service Detail pane has a variety of functions that affect the selected service.
When clicking on a service in the Layers pane, the Service Detail pane will pop-up.

Use the Service Detail toolbar to perform a variety of functions.

  1. Set (Un) Selectable: Set entire service to be locked or unlocked (unselectable or selectable)

  2. Zoom To:  Zoom your screen to display all layers

  3. Pan To: Pan your screen to display all layers

There are two tabs within Service Detail.
Attributes: Change service name (if user has access).
Geometries: View all data in layers within the service - count of objects, area and perimeter. Also, view a summary of the entire service - counts of objects, entire area, entire perimeter.

*Analyze data using the Geometries tab
